Accommodation
MCI Suisse SA, our local partner agency for
accommodation, has reserved a large number of rooms
in different hotel categories and proposes discounted
room rates for ECO 2008 participants, (see our detailed
list in this preliminary programme). Only reservations
made through MCI Suisse SA will benefit from these
rates. Please make your reservation on-line. Contact
details are below - See Local Partner Agency.
Group Reservations will be handled by MCI Suisse SA
with separate contracts. Please contact MCI for further
details.
Certificate of Attendance
Each delegate will receive a certificate of attendance at
the Congress.
Commercial Exhibition
The ECO2008 commercial exhibition will be the hub of
the congress and will be located close to the main
auditorium. The posters catering points and internet
cafe and lounge areas will all be located alongside the
commercial exhibition. For more information contact eco2008@easoobesity.org
Currency
The currency in Switzerland is the Swiss Franc - CHF.
The currency of the Congress is the Euro.

Letters of Invitation/Visa
Letters of Invitation to assist with Visa applications can be provided by the Congress Secretariat once the following information has been provided:
• Registration confirmation number
• Proof of payment of fees
• Full name
• Home address
• Work address
• Date of birth
• Passport number
If you require a letter of invitation please contact the Congress Secretariat. Letters of invitation will not be issued after Monday 31 March 2008.

Name Badges
All participants and accompanying persons must clearly
wear the ECO2008 identification badge. Entrance to the
meeting halls and exhibition areas will not be permitted
without it.

Recycling
The ECO 2008 organisers are conscious to make the Congress as environmentally sound as possible. To this end, the lunchboxes and their contents, exhibition waste and carpet will all be recycled - recycling points will be located around the Congress venue.
Smoking Policy
Smoking is not permitted inside the congress venue.

Transportation
Participants staying in a hotel in Geneva will receive, on
request, upon check-in, a free transportation pass, valid
on the Geneva public transport network for the duration
of their stay.
VAT
VAT (Value Added Tax) in Switzerland is 7.6%.
